Books on Books

What kind of fate have the old and out-of-print photobooks in the era of digitalization? For some books of this genre a better future is guaranteed through the Books on Books project of Errata Editions, a small independent American publishing house. The project makes accessible to students, scholars and photography devotees rare publications that are not possible to be reprinted in their original form again. I regard it as a very laudable initiative with interesting intertextual extensions and a precious contribution to visual literacy. You can find the full list of the photography books here.
